YCCHEM Co., Ltd. (112290.KQ) announced on the September 10th that it has begun mass production of key materials for semiconductor glass substrates. According to a previous report by IC&PCB Union, YCCHEM announced on August 3, 2024 that it has completed the development of three essential materials and begun mass production testing.

The company will supply photoresists specifically for glass substrates, having passed evaluations from domestic clients. Full-scale deliveries are expected to begin soon.

A representative from YCCHEM stated, "We are commercializing glass substrate materials step by step. The photoresists for glass substrates, in particular, are expected to improve profitability as the market expands."

Leading global semiconductor comp.anies such as Samsung, Intel, SK, and NVIDIA are accelerating the commercialization of glass substrates in response to increasing demand for high-performance semiconductors.

YCCHEM is currently supplying stripper and developer products for glass substrates to its clients.

The company also revealed, "We have completed performance upgrades on a special-purpose 'glass coating' product, aiming for commercialization this year. This glass coating, a special polymer designed to protect semiconductor-etched glass substrates from cracks, is currently undergoing testing with clients."
