This May marked the initiation of the construction project on the new 70,000-square-foot headquarters of the U.S. arm of the Würth Elektronik Group. Positioned in Watertown, the facility is projected to be finished by the culmination of 2025. The traditional groundbreaking ceremony was carried out by the warm American workforce of Würth Elektronik on April 26. Besides serving as the conglomerate's operational headquarters, the structure will double as a warehouse catering to North and South America. Würth Elektronik honors its tradition of hosting an annual week-long employee conference during the summer, bringing together over 200 employees from the far-reaching corners of the Americas to Watertown.

The state-of-the-art building will feature an eco-friendly design, an employee fitness room, and an outdoor terrace. “The building was designed around our people, specifically with the employee experience in mind: maximized daylight accessibility, alternative workspaces, and an outdoor terrace are some of the most exciting features,” says Toby Kangas, Project Manager of the new building at Würth Elektronik. The company also plans to pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification for the new facility, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable practices.
This investment is a testament to Würth Elektronik’s dedication to providing an employee-forward workspace for its staff and facilitating growth toward 225 employees in Watertown, nearly doubling the current staff capacity over the next 10-15 years.
