In the AI sector, Taiwan-based PCB manufacturer Unitech Printed Circuit Board Corp (2367.TW) is actively seeking certification for products related to AI servers, primarily focusing on peripheral products in the initial stages, with certification expected to complete next year.

Unitech is currently constructing a new facility in Thailand, expected to be completed by mid-2025, with the goal of reaching mass production by the end of that year, according to Chairman Chang Yuan-ming. Additionally, investment plans for the Taiwan plant in 2025 will include production line optimization and equipment upgrades.

Chairman Zhang also expressed optimism about growth in automotive, low-orbit satellite, and AI applications for the coming year. Commenting on the trend of Taiwan PCB manufacturers setting up in Thailand, he noted that Thailand’s high demand for skilled personnel—particularly engineers and frontline workers—presents a key challenge. The completion of multiple plants may further intensify this labor demand in the region.
