Trackwise Designs, a King's Award-winning manufacturer of specialist products using printed circuit technology, has launched a sale process for its Stevenage Circuits Ltd (SCL) business.

SCL operates from Trackwise's Stevenage site and forms the majority of its Advanced PCB (APCB) business.

The planned sale will allow Trackwise to focus its financial and management resources more fully on its core IHT business.

Last month, Trackwise said it plans to recognise an impairment of its investment in SCL and an impairment of the inter-company loan owed by SCL.

Following a further internal review, a sale process for SCL is now underway and may involve a sale, a business and assets sale or similar.

Trackwise added that there was no certainty that a sale will go ahead, nor as to the terms of any sale.

Any disposal of SCL would not impact Trackwise's IHT business and would remove the risk of SCL diverting resources away from the IHT business.

Trackwise Designs, which is headquartered in Tewkesbury, said its board is in the process of appointing a sales agent for the SCL sale process.
