Taiflex Scientific Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 8039), a global leader in flexible printed circuit materials, held the grand opening of its Thailand factory at Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate on May 15, 2024. The event was presided over by Mr. Sun Ta-Wen, Chairman of Taiflex, Mr. Jiang Tzong-Hann, CEO, and Ms. Liu Ling Chun, General Manager of the Taiflex Scientific (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by representatives from key governmental agencies including the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), as well as dignitaries from Amata Group (AMATA), the Thai Business Association, and local business communities. Furthermore, Taiflex Technology took this opportunity to invite important clients, suppliers, and partners to gather together, creating a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the opening ceremony.
Since establishing its foundation in the Amata City Industrial Park in Chonburi, Thailand, in 2022, Taiflex has carried out strategic full-scale planning encompassing construction of the factory, talent recruitment and training, and production planning, in order to meet development needs. Spanning an area of approximately 42,000 square meters, the Thailand factory stands as a crucial production base for Taiflex in Southeast Asia, projected to augment the group's capacity by 50% upon its completion. At present, the first factory and its corresponding office building were completed by the end of 2023, and preparation for formal mass production was achieved in the first quarter of 2024, contributing to the group's capacity.
In recent years, as the global economic landscape has undergone significant changes necessitating accelerated supply chain restructuring to enhance resilience, the opening and operation of Taiflex Thailand factory have injected new momentum into its global footprint. Currently, the world's top three flexible printed circuit material manufacturers have either established factories in Southeast Asia or are in the process of doing so, and it is believed that the Taiflex Thailand factory will further enhance the overall flexible printed circuit material supply chain in Southeast Asia.
Additionally, Thailand, being a key automotive production hub in Southeast Asia, boasts a complete industrial ecosystem. As the only flexible printed circuit material supplier with a factory in Thailand and possessing a comprehensive track record of automotive material mass production and quality certification systems, Taiflex is expected to play a significant role in the Thai automotive supply chain by providing timely and comprehensive products and services.
