On February 19, 2025, Taiwan-based CCL and PP manufacturer Advance Materials Corporation (AMC, 3585.TWO) announced that it had been fined NT$130,000 (CNY 2,8899 or USD 3,967) by the fire department for violating Article 6 of the Fire Services Act.
AMC stated that it will comply with regulatory requirements and install the necessary smoke ventilation systems within the designated improvement period. The company will also pay the fine on time, as stipulated in the penalty notice.
Founded on September 15, 1998, AMC is a supplier of upstream PCB materials based in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It is a subsidiary of Shin-Etsu Chemical. AMC’s product offerings include Copper Clad Laminate, Prepreg, Mass Lamination Services, optical materials, high-purity solvents, photoresists, release agents, and solder masks. The company also provides PCB lamination services and was listed on Taiwan's Emerging Stock Market on October 25, 2007.
