Taesung, a specialist supplier of printed circuit board (PCB) process automation equipment based in Korea, announced on November 29th that the demand for high-performance premium substrates is increasing due to the growing activity in the on-device AI market. As a result, the company's order backlog is expanding.
The company reports that as the demand for mobile semiconductors related to on-device AI continues to grow, there has been an increase in orders for FCCSP, SiP, and MCP manufacturing equipment. Furthermore, the current order backlog has reached a level surpassing the total revenue for the entire third quarter of this year, indicating that the equipment supply will contribute to next year's sales.
Earlier this year, Taesung expanded its production facilities in Ansan to accommodate the growing demand for high-performance semiconductor substrates related to AI. The company has strategically enlarged its factory in order to effectively meet the increasing influx of orders.
