The world’s second-largest manufacturer of essential PCB materials, Shengyi Technology (SYTECH), has announced a new investment in Thailand to support the country's growing electronics sector. Approved by Thailand's Board of Investment (BOI), the THB 6.15 billion (approximately USD 181 million or CNY 1.3 billion) project will establish a manufacturing facility in Chachoengsao for key PCB components, including Prepreg and Copper Clad Laminate (CCL).
The investment aims to strengthen Thailand’s PCB supply chain, which is projected to become a significant economic driver. SYTECH’s new facility will supply major PCB manufacturers, such as KCE, APEX, and MFLEX, and is expected to create over 200 local jobs. This expansion underscores Thailand's rising role in the global PCB industry and supports local industry growth with high-quality material production.
BOI Secretary-General Narit Therdsteerasukdi remarked, "SYTECH’s investment marks a critical step in building a robust supply chain for Thailand’s PCB industry, positioning it as a key player in the global electronics market."
