Summit Interconnect Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Executive Appointments - PCB Manufacturing

A leading provider of advanced PCB manufacturing solutions, Summit Interconnect, announced two significant updates to its executive leadership team in March 2024, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Sean Patterson Appointed as Chief Technology Officer

Summit has introduced the new role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), appointing current Chief Operating Officer Sean Patterson to lead the company's technology strategy. In this role, Patterson will oversee research and development, integrate emerging technologies, and enhance technical operations to improve efficiency, product quality, and customer experience.

With a background spanning leadership roles at Summit Interconnect, Nano Dimension, and Amazon, Patterson brings extensive expertise in operations and technology management.

Michael Norman Joins as President and Chief Operating Officer

In addition to Patterson's new role, Summit has appointed Michael Norman as President and Chief Operating Officer. Norman brings over 30 years of leadership experience from aerospace, defense, and technology sectors, most recently serving as Vice President of Space, Imaging, and Microelectronics at Raytheon. There, he led multiple subsidiaries focused on high-reliability electronics, advanced semiconductor microelectronics, and imaging systems for satellite technology.

His career also includes leadership roles at L3Harris and Lockheed Martin, where he successfully managed large-scale operations, improved efficiencies, and expanded market reach.

“I'm thrilled to join Summit at such a pivotal time for U.S. manufacturing,” said Norman. “Summit's dedication to high-reliability PCBs for aerospace, defense, and commercial markets is impressive. I look forward to working with this talented team to meet evolving customer demands and drive future growth.”

As President and COO, Norman will oversee all North American operations, sales, and marketing, focusing on scaling operations and accelerating strategic growth.

Shane Whiteside will continue in his role as CEO and Chairman of the Board, steering Summit's long-term vision and leadership in advanced PCB manufacturing.
