On November 29, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for Olympic Circuit Technology's new factory at the Gaofeng Green Industrial Park in Nong Loei, Thailand, took place.

The event was attended by key figures from both China and Thailand, including She Yingjie, Chairman of Guangdong Olympic Circuit Technology Co., Ltd. (603920.SH), former Thai Minister of Agriculture Mr. Prapat Pothasuthon, former Minister of Health Mr. Weijian, Mayor of Nong Loei Mr. Kidi, and leaders from the Thai Chinese Entrepreneurs Association and major banks such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Thailand) and Bank of China Thailand.

This factory construction is a significant step for Guangdong Olympic Circuit Technology as part of its green development efforts and a key outcome of deepening China-Thailand economic cooperation.

Earlier this year, Olympic Circuit Technology announced plans to invest up to $200 million in a new PCB production facility in Thailand. On December 14, 2023, the company registered its Thai subsidiary, Olympic Circuit (Thailand) Co., Ltd., with a capital of 5 million Thai Baht. The company purchased about 109.76 rai (175,614 square meters) of land in the Gaofeng Green Industrial Park, with an investment of 440 million Thai Baht (approximately 86.48 million RMB), where it will build a plant for HDI PCBs, double-sided PCBs, and multilayer PCBs.

She Yingjie, Chairman of Olympic Circuit Technology, expressed his appreciation for the support of the local government and partners during his speech. “This plant marks a key milestone for us and is an important step in supporting both Thailand's economic development and our sustainable growth strategy. We've focused on green, smart, and sustainable practices from the beginning, aiming to set new industry standards,” he said.

Li Xiaobo, Chairman of the Thai Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, highlighted that the Gaofeng Green Industrial Park is a key government-backed initiative supporting modern high-tech industries and green projects. He emphasized that this factory will further strengthen China-Thailand economic ties and praised Olympic Circuit Technology's role in the industry.

Once completed, the new factory will play a crucial role in supporting Thailand's economic growth and serve as an example of Chinese companies actively participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative.

With the groundbreaking ceremony complete, the project is now officially underway, marking a new chapter in China-Thailand cooperation and laying the foundation for the factory's successful operation.
