Nvidia's Huang Teams With Asia's Richest Man on Blackwell AI Hub - IC Manufacturing

Nvidia Corp. has announced a significant partnership with Mukesh Ambani, Asia's richest man, to advance artificial intelligence infrastructure in India. During an AI summit in Mumbai, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared the stage with Ambani to reveal that Nvidia will supply its cutting-edge Blackwell AI processors for a new one-gigawatt data center being developed by Reliance Industries in Gujarat. This facility is part of Ambani’s JioBrain initiative, aiming to drive AI development across multiple sectors in India.

This collaboration is a strategic move by Nvidia to tap into India's rapidly expanding AI sector. The country, home to more than 1.4 billion people, offers massive growth potential, particularly as it increasingly embraces AI technologies in industries like agriculture, education, and manufacturing. Huang highlighted India's potential as a future AI powerhouse, saying, "In the future, India will export AI," shifting its role from a traditional software outsourcing hub to a global AI innovator.

In addition to the Blackwell AI processors for Reliance, Nvidia is also working with Indian firms like Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services to deploy tens of thousands of Hopper AI chips for large-scale data centers. Nvidia’s partnership with Tech Mahindra focuses on building a Hindi-language large language model, Indus 2.0, catering to India’s diverse linguistic landscape. This aligns with Nvidia’s broader strategy of developing localized AI solutions for different regions.

With over 4,000 engineers and multiple development centers across India, Nvidia’s presence in the country is growing. These partnerships reflect India’s rising prominence in global AI, especially as U.S.-China tensions escalate. Huang’s collaboration with Ambani positions India as a critical market for Nvidia’s AI ambitions, further solidified by the government’s $1.2 billion AI mission to build data centers and AI infrastructure.

By leveraging India's talent and infrastructure, Nvidia and Reliance aim to shape the future of AI in one of the world's fastest-growing economies, marking a pivotal moment in India's AI-driven transformation.

This partnership also comes at a time when Nvidia’s products, especially its AI chips, have become increasingly valuable, driving innovation across industries globally, making India a key player in the ongoing AI revolution.
