April 10,2023(PCB UNION)- NOK CORPORATION (7250.T) is planning to establish a new semiconductor flexible printed circuit board (FPC) production base in North America. The company will firstly build a prototype production factory and then formulate detailed production plans based on the order conditions. 

Electrification will boost demand for automotive FPC

By 2025, NOK CORPORATION aims to double the proportion of automotive FPC sales from 20% to 40%. For this purpose,It is intending to penetrate the North American market, where many Japanese automotive manufacturers have already established production bases.
