Arm China Appoints Chen Feng as CEO
Arm China has confirmed that Chen Feng officially joined the company on February 5, 2025, as CEO, replacing Liu Renchen and Chen Xun, who have stepped down from their co-CEO roles. Both will remain as company advisors until the end of February to assist with the transition.
Chen Feng brings extensive industry experience, having previously served at Bell Labs, SMIC, and Rockchip, where he played a pivotal role in product planning and market strategy. GlobalFoundries: Tim Breen Named CEO
On February 5, GlobalFoundries (GF) announced Tim Breen as its new CEO, effective April 28, 2025. The current CEO, Dr. Thomas Caulfield, will transition to Executive Chairman, while Niels Anderskouv has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Breen, who has been with GF since 2018, previously led global operations, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT. Caulfield, who led GF's 2021 IPO, will now focus on strategic industry partnerships. GF, the world's fifth-largest foundry, reported $1.739 billion in revenue in Q3 2024, a 6.6% quarter-over-quarter increase.
Skyworks Names Philip Brace as CEO
On February 5, Skyworks Solutions appointed Philip Brace as President, CEO, and Board Member, effective February 17, 2025. Liam K. Griffin, the outgoing CEO, will serve as advisor for three months to ensure a smooth transition.
Brace has extensive experience in semiconductors, IoT, and cloud computing, having held leadership roles at Intel, LSI, Seagate, Veritas, and Sierra Wireless. Skyworks, a leader in RF semiconductor solutions, reported $1.068 billion in revenue for Q1 2025, a 4% quarter-over-quarter increase.
Tower Semiconductor Appoints Rachel Xie as China GM
On February 6, Tower Semiconductor announced Rachel Xie as General Manager of Tower China, effective February 1, 2025. Previously serving as Deputy GM, her promotion comes just six months after taking on that role.
Tower Semiconductor, a leading analog foundry, specializes in RF, high-performance analog, CMOS image sensors, power management, and MEMS. The company saw a 5.6% revenue increase in Q3 2024, reaching $371 million, securing 1% global foundry market share.
Microchip Appoints Former AMD President Victor Peng to Board
On February 4, Microchip Technology announced the appointment of Victor Peng, former President of AMD, to its Board of Directors, effective February 10, 2025.
Peng, who has 40+ years of semiconductor experience, previously led Xilinx as President and CEO before its acquisition by AMD. During his tenure at AMD, he played a key role in Radeon Technologies and product strategy execution.
Littelfuse Names Greg Henderson as CEO Amid Revenue Decline
Littelfuse, a diversified power solutions company, has appointed Greg Henderson as President and CEO, effective February 11, 2025. He succeeds Dave Heinzmann, who is retiring after 40 years at the company.
Henderson, formerly Senior VP at Analog Devices (ADI), takes the helm as Littelfuse faces a 7% year-over-year revenue decline, reporting $2.2 billion in 2024 sales. The company expects Q1 2025 revenue between $520–$550 million.
