Welding equipment provider Kemppi Group Oy announced its plan to separate Kemppi Oy’s electronics business into its own company last month and now has revealed the name of the new company and when it will start operating.
The name of the new company will be Kemptron Oy and it will manufacture electronic circuit boards, subassemblies, modules, transformers and chokes. The company has almost 50 years of experience in this core competence. The new company will start operating this August 1.
Kemptron Oy will operate as a subsidiary of Kemppi Group Oy and as a sister company of Kemppi Oy. The demerger will be carried out as a partial demerger, where part of the personnel, assets and liabilities are transferred from Kemppi Oy to the new company.
“Kemptron Oy will strengthen the positioning of Kemppi Group’s electronics business and enable business growth. The company will take into account the specific needs of its customer industries. Kemptron Oy will provide power electronics components for Kemppi Group companies’ products,” says Jari Takala, General Manager of Lahti operations, Kemptron Oy.
Kemptron Oy, which will be established as a result of the planned demerger, will be one of the largest contract manufacturers of electronics for demanding power electronics and related control electronics and assembly in Finland.
