On April 1, 2025, Thailand-based KCE Electronics Public Company Limited (SET: KCE) has successfully completed the acquisition of KCE Printed Circuit Boards GmbH (KCED), a German PCB distributor. The transaction, valued at approximately 10.65 million EUR (approximately 83.8 million CNY or 393 million THB), was finalized through KCE's wholly owned subsidiary Circuit Holding Co., Ltd. and funded via bank loans.

This acquisition is a strategic move by KCE to strengthen its direct control over its European sales network, optimizing logistics costs and improving communication efficiency with European customers. KCED, which contributes over 23% of KCE Group's total revenue, saw its net profit decline in 2023 due to the broader slowdown in the European PCB market and high operational costs. KCE expects KCED's profitability to recover to 2022 levels or surpass them.

The deal was initially approved in January 2025, with KCE emphasizing that the seller had no affiliation with the company, ensuring a straightforward transaction. The move aligns with KCE's broader strategy to consolidate its operations, as seen in previous acquisitions and restructurings, including:

 ● October 2024: KCE established Circuit Holding Co., Ltd., which subsequently acquired UK-based PCB distributor International Circuits Limited while assuming its ¥130 million CNY debt.

 ● August 2024: KCE merged its 99.99%-owned subsidiary, KCE International Company Limited (KCEI), into the parent company, consolidating ownership of KCE America Inc., KCE Singapore Pte Ltd., and Thai Laminate Manufacturer Co., Ltd.

Through these acquisitions and restructuring efforts, KCE is positioning itself for stronger global market integration and operational efficiency, particularly in Europe and North America.
