In August of 2017 MiTAC Holdings Corporation (MHC, TWSE: 3706) a member of the MiTAC-Synnex Corporation, one of Taiwan’s top business conglomerates with a group Revenue of US$34BN, and Infopower Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Infopower) announced a definitive agreement in which MHC invested in Infopower becoming one of its largest shareholders. MiTAC group made the strategic investment in Infopower as MHC is expanding its electronics manufacturing aiming to gain a foothold in the Indian market which endorses India’s move to an electronics manufacturing hub at the same time endorses Infopower’s presence in the Indian electronics manufacturing segment.

On the trend of IoT, auto electronics and digital algorithm, MHC paves its way into the Indian market by investing in sales, R&D and manufacturing. The synergy of this strategic investment brings diversification and growth to MiTAC’s business in India’s electronic business sector, with Infopower having PCB, PCBA and system assembly capability and MHC providing the technology, products and manufacturing expertise of embedded computing, servers, Industrial Tablets, Dash Cam’s, Industrial Panel PC’s, POS Systems and auto electronics adding to Infopower’s product offering.

Infopower has 2 PCB Fabrication facilities, both ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 certified which help in meeting captive demand for the Sahasra group entities as well as serving other EMS & OEM companies. From PCB design to prototyping to volume production the PCB operations are flexible enough and serve a variety of big and small customers with varying requirements. With growing focus on Multi layers the company has invested heavily in state of the art equipment for manufacturing PCB's right from S/S & MCPCB's up to 10L boards. The boards are fabricated to IPC standards and meet RoHS and REACH regulations. Infopower was the first PCB fabrication company in India to offer UL approved Metal Core PCB’s to its customers for LED Lighting applications besides UL approved FR-4 boards.

Infopower’s unique offering of PCB Design and Manufacturing as well as Electronic Manufacturing Services positions it well vis-à-vis other Indian domestic EMS companies as it provides an advantage to its customers who are able to save on development time and costs by getting all activities done at a single location at the same time ensuring prototype through production is a seamless transition. PCB & EMS customers are also able to get local support through the 3 regional offices located at Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi while the 2 manufacturing facilities are located in NCR, Noida. Infopower is now building its 3rd and largest manufacturing facility till date spread across 16,000 sqmtrs of land under its JV with MiTAC. A green field project located at Ecotech- VI, Greater Noida, part of the TEGNA Electronics Cluster which houses other Chinese and Taiwanese giants such as Oppo, Foxlink and Waffer.
