British chip firm Arm Holdings announced on Thursday (Sept.12) that Young Sohn, a senior adviser at Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), will rejoin its board. Sohn, who previously served on Arm’s board, said his past experience with the company has given him a "unique perspective" on the importance of Arm's technology.
"The depth of experience Young brings will be invaluable as Arm continues to diversify and tackle complex computing challenges in the AI era," said Rene Haas, CEO of Arm.
In addition to his role at Samsung, Sohn serves as chairman of Harman, which Samsung acquired for $8 billion in 2017, and sits on the board of Cadence Design Systems (CDNS.O).
