The ICAPE Group (EPA: ALICA), a global distributor of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and custom-made electromechanical parts, has announced the off-market acquisition of 153,750 of its own shares, representing around 1.9% of its capital. The shares were purchased from the Bentley family at a price of €6.84 per share, reflecting a 5% discount compared to the closing price on February 19, 2025. The total value of the transaction amounted to €1.05 million. Following the buyback, ICAPE now holds 192,900 of its own shares, or 2.4% of its capital.
This move is part of ICAPE's ongoing share buyback program, which was introduced on February 13, 2025, and is aligned with the Group's strategy to enhance shareholder value. The company has set aside a maximum amount of €5 million for this program, with a purchase price limit of €30 per share. The acquired shares will be used in accordance with the objectives defined in the buyback plan.
In addition to its share buyback program, ICAPE has also expanded its footprint in the UK market with the acquisition of Prestwick-based Kingfisher PCBs. This acquisition significantly strengthens ICAPE's distribution network in the United Kingdom, a key market for PCB distribution in Europe.
Yann Duigou, CEO of ICAPE Group, highlighted that the acquisition completes the structuring of their business unit in the UK. He stated, "Kingfisher's expertise and established customer relationships complement our existing capabilities, and this will allow us to provide even better services and support to our customers in the region. We are excited to welcome the Kingfisher team to the ICAPE family."
Kingfisher's CEO, Victor Sproat, added, "Joining the ICAPE Group gives Kingfisher access to a global network and resources, enabling us to offer a wider range of products and services. This partnership will significantly benefit our customers."
These strategic moves come as ICAPE continues to solidify its position as a leader in the global PCB and technical parts supply chain, with a growing presence in Europe and beyond.
