The Rise of DeepSeek: A Shift in AI Infrastructure

According to TrendForce, the global AI server market has been expanding rapidly since 2023 and is expected to account for over 15% of total server shipments by 2025, reaching nearly 20% by 2028. While Nvidia's Blackwell GPUs and custom ASIC chips from AWS dominate AI infrastructure, China's AI firms and cloud providers are increasingly focusing on cost-effective AI models and homegrown chips.

DeepSeek's model distillation technology allows for faster inference and lower hardware requirements, maximizing the efficiency of Nvidia Hopper-based chips and local AI accelerators. This strategy not only enhances cost-effectiveness but also promotes AI self-sufficiency in China.

With DeepSeek's AI models now available across leading global and Chinese cloud platforms, the company is well-positioned to drive further innovation, accessibility, and competition in the AI sector. As AI adoption accelerates, DeepSeek's continued growth and technological breakthroughs will be closely watched.
