(TAIEX: 3711, NYSE: ASX) announced on December 27 that it has partnered with Pegatron (TPE: 4938) and V5 Technology to establish the AI Application Alliance (AAA) and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly develop an advanced AI-powered visual inspection system for the substrate industry.

The formation of the AAA represents an unprecedented partnership, combining ASE's semiconductor expertise, Pegatron’s AI server manufacturing capabilities, and V5 Technology’s leadership in AI imaging algorithms. Together, they will work alongside Taiwan’s leading substrate suppliers, including Kinsus, Nanya, Unimicron, Zhen Ding Technology, Tripod Technology, and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), to create cutting-edge AI visual recognition inspection systems for the industry.

Since 2011, ASE has been a pioneer in integrating AI into its operations, having already saved more than 80% in inspection labor costs by utilizing real-time, AI-driven quality checks. With this collaboration, ASE aims to extend these AI capabilities across the industry, empowering its partners and setting new industry standards for quality and efficiency.
