South Korean printed circuit board maker Isu Petasys have secured orders for boards from more tech giants.
The company will be supplying its multi-layer boards for server applications to Intel, Microsoft, and Nvidia, sources said.
Isu Petasys already has Google as a customer for the same boards.
The company is benefiting from the general high demand for the boards as well as the US-China trade war as US companies look for alternative suppliers to their prior suppliers in China.
Intel’s recent launch of its server CPU Sapphire Rapids will be a big boon to the South Korean board maker.
Isu Petasys recorded 175.4 billion won in revenue and 32 billion won in operating income during the fourth quarter. Revenue jumped by 42% year-on-year and operating income doubled over the same time period.
This was despite demand for printed circuit boards dropping during the quarter due to inflation that has dampened demand for consumer electronics.
Last year, Isu Petasys said it will spend 95.3 billion won to expand its multi-layer board production capacity.
However, the company still needs to find new revenue sources as multi-layer boards are not an advanced product. Last year it exited its smartphone board business.
