Sep 15, (PCB UNION)——Founder Technology (600601. SH), a Chinese PCB manufacturer, announced today its intention to invest in the establishment of a Thailand Production Base.
The estimated investment for the Thailand production base is approximately RMB 943 million. The plan involves establishing a subsidiary in Thailand and acquiring approximately 122 mu (80,667 square meters) of land in the Rojana Industrial Park, located in Prachin Buri, Thailand, for the construction of the PCB manufacturing base.
Founder Technology stated that the base will have the capability to simultaneously produce high-layer boards and HDI (High-Density Interconnect) products, meeting the demand for high-layer products such as switches and servers, as well as HDI products for optical modules, automotive electronics, and consumer electronics.
Founder Technology's investment in the construction of a new production base in Thailand aims to enhance the layout of the company's overseas manufacturing bases, further meeting the order requirements of international customers, and enhancing the company's international competitiveness and overseas service capabilities.
According to the 2023 interim report, the company achieved a revenue of ¥1.448 billion in the first half of this year, representing a year-on-year decrease of 34.15%. The net profit was ¥48 million, a turnaround from a loss of ¥225 million in the same period last year.
In 2022, during the bankruptcy and reorganization process, Founder Technology successfully divested inefficient assets and disposed of 100% equity of two subsidiary companies that were incurring losses. Starting from the first half of 2023, Founder Technology's core business is focused on PCBs.
